In accordance with Schedule I, Section 4(1) of the Lagos State University Law, 2004, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) assists the Vice-Chancellor in the performance of his functions. In this case, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for all academic matters and performs such other functions as the Vice-Chancellor or the Council shall from time to time, assign to him/her.
Prof. Adewale Olumuyiwa Noah is a native of Ikorodu town, Lagos State, Nigeria. He attended Methodist Primary School and Ikorodu High School, Ikorodu. He has the B.Ed, M.Ed and PhD degrees (1988) of the great University of Jos and a postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration from Galilee College Tivon, Israel.
Professor Noah was the Head of Department of Educational Foundations and Counselling Psychology, Faculty of Education, Lagos State University.
He was Director, Centre for Test Development and Administration LASU, from 2013 to 2016. He was elected back to back as Congregation representative on the Governing Council (1987 to 1992). He is a foundation member of the Lagos State Agency for Mass Education and Adult Literacy (1986).
In 1998, Prof. Noah was appointed the Provost of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Ijanikin, Lagos State, a position he held until 2006.
Prof. Noah was elected by Senate as the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, in July 2016. He is a fellow of the Association of Sociologist of Education in Nigeria (2019).
